3 shot types

Match on action shot
Match on action is an editing technique where one shot cuts to another shot continuing the action of the subject in the first shot. the action carrying through creates a “visual bridge” which draws the viewer’s attention away from change of angle, shot or slight cutting. it gives a effortless sense of the same action rather than two separate things being stitched together.

 The 180° rule

The 180° rule is a guideline in which filming only takes place within 180° of two charterers when in conversation. This allows the audience to have a more view of location sense  as you can see more in the shots and also creates a ping pong effect in conversation .

Shot Reverse Shot
Shot reverse shot is a continuity technique used in editing conversations or simply characters looking at each other or objects and shows there perspective. Shot reverse shot often ties in with the 180° rule to keep up continuity.
